Opportunity: Dance//Novella invites 10 emerging professional dancers to participate in a 4 week professional development program. Supported by the Y.P. Hueng foundation and The Polygon Gallery, the initial phase offers a three-week, site-specific residency and creation process culminating in two performances at The Polygon Gallery. The final week, supported by The Dance Centre will offer workshops lead by leading dance and theatre professionals, offering exposure to innovative creative practices, company directors and future opportunities. The EAP also offers portfolio building, tools such as performance videos, professional photoshoots and letters of recommendation.

Who is this for: Emerging professional dancers with post-secondary education in dance. (There is no age limit.)

Benefits: Network with industry professionals, learn new techniques, participate in a new dance-theater work and enhance your resume. Participants will receive a $500 stipend and will be provided performance videos and photos. Please note that this is considered as a paid educational opportunity intended for artists seeking further development.

How to apply: We invite interested applicants to submit a resume, a letter of interest detailing your movement background and why you would like to participate as well as two contrasting videos of you dancing. Although the videos can be anything that illuminates your artistry, we highly encourage you to reference Dance//Novella’s work.
