Elevate Your Artistic Practice
This comprehensive program offers a deep dive into creative exploration, professional development, and collaboration. Led by Dance//Novella leadership Racheal Prince and Brandon Lee Alley, participants will engage in a week-long professional development opportunity designed to enhance their skills and better position them for job opportunities in the dance industry.
What’s Included:
Daily Classes: Contemporary or Improvisation - designed to strengthen your technique and artistry.
Solo Repertoire: Learn two solos over 5 days. Participants will have permission to film, perform and share the solos for audition/portfolio purposes.
Collaborative Creation: Collaborate on an original piece of repertoire. Friends and family are welcome to attend the showcase where we will share what we have learned together on Saturday Aug 14th!

How to Apply:
Applicants must submit their CV and a 2–3 minute video showcasing dynamic movement including floorwork
Selection Process:
We welcome dancers aged 16 and older with previous contemporary dance training. Applicants will receive one of three outcomes: accepted, waitlisted, or not accepted. While we wish we could welcome everyone, we aim to ensure that all participants have the appropriate experience to fully benefit from and enjoy the intensive.
Deadline:
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are due by June 15, 2025. Results will be delivered within one week of receiving your application. You will be accepted, placed on waitlist or declined. Please note that the application period will close early if all spots are filled.

This comprehensive program offers a deep dive into creative exploration, professional development, and collaboration. Led by Dance//Novella leadership and guest facilitators, participants will engage in a two week professional development opportunity designed to enhance their skills and better position them for job opportunities in the dance industry. We are happy to offer BIPOC and financial need scholarships as well as payment plans to help battle financial barriers. (Please note that the scholarship deadline has now passed.)

Daily Classes: Contemporary or Improvisation - designed to strengthen your technique and artistry.
Solo Performance: Learn two solos over 2 weeks. At the end of the program, participants will have the opportunity to have both solo professionally filmed with stage lighting, perfect for auditions or portfolios.
Collaborative Creation: Collaborate on an original piece to be performed and professionally filmed on the final day. Friends and family are welcome to attend the showcase on Saturday Aug 8th!

We welcome dancers aged 18 and older who are seeking professional development opportunities to advance their journey as professional dance artists. Our application process is designed to ensure the program aligns with your goals and aspirations.
